(Scroll down for video) A thief was hit with an instant punishment after stealing an iPhone from a young boy, police in New York said.
The New York Police Department said that 33-year-old Berthony Louis of Queens, stole an iPhone from a 13-year-old boy before trying to flee from the scene.
However, Louis ran onto the tracks and was hit by a Manhattan bound F train. Luckily, Louis only suffered cuts and bruises.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Tuesday around 8:00 a.m. Louis confronted the 13-year-old boy who held an iPhone in his hand while traveling on an M train.
He assaulted the boy and took away the phone.
Louis then ran out from the M train in an attempt to flee from the scene, but he was hit by the F train. Louis was taken to the Elmhurst hospital, where he was treated and released.
Doctors recovered the stolen iPhone.
