Twins of the United Kingdom, wanted to reunite with their biological mother after they turned 18 years old.

However, they soon learned that they will never be able to speak to her as she was murdered just two days before they began searching for her.

Curtis and Lewis Nickle said that their adoptive mother Angie, gave them the name of their biological mother when they expressed interest in meeting her.

When they searched the Internet for information, they found the horrific news that their mother, Maxine Showers, was killed just two days earlier.

Showers, 42, of Liverpool, who is a mother of eight children, allegedly worked as prostitute and was killed by her client, 29-year-old Michael Williams.

Her body was found dumped in an alleyway between Hinton Street and Parton Street behind Williams’ house. A post-mortem examination found that Showers died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Williams admitted to manslaughter and claimed self-defense, saying that the woman tried to steal from his house. However, after a trial, he was found guilty of murder and he was sentenced to 22 years behind bars.

The twins said that their mother gave them up for adoption because she was going through difficulties at that time in her life. She was married to the father of her three younger children.
