Two jealous male soldiers were arrested for beating their colleague who was caught kissing another man.

18-year-old Private Melissa Centeno is the first and only woman assigned to her unit in Fort Hood, Texas.

She was invited to a house party on Saturday, which was held for her and her colleagues, and she agreed to attend.

During the party, she went into a room with another soldier and the two began kissing. Two men suddenly entered the bedroom and saw the two kissing.

The men became angry and confronted Centeno. She left the room and went into the bathroom. When she came out, the men abused her and beat her up.

Centeno fell unconscious and she suffered a concussion, a ruptured eardrum, wounds to the face and bruises all over her body.

The suspects were identified as the party's host, combat engineer Jacob Andrew Avila, and former active duty soldier Lucas Curtis.

“We're still trying to figure out why and what the motive is for this one. They are not former boyfriends or anything like that,” Copperas Cove police Sgt. Martin Ruiz said.

Avila turned himself in to police. He was later released after posting $6,000 bail. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Curtis.
