Mother is China, can now breastfeed their babies on public buses in privacy.
Pingxiang became one of the first cities to accommodate breastfeeding mothers by offering special seats that allow them to breastfeed in private while using public transportation.
The city installed curtains in a number of buses. A track was placed around the seat that are now known as the “breastfeeding seats.”
The seats are located near the doors of the buses. Mother’s can close the pink curtains around themselves for ultimate privacy.
Other passengers can use these seats when there are no mothers on board. When a mother with a baby gets on to the bus, the driver will inform her to take the special seat.
