Brokenhearted Alexis Lemmon, 21, of Perris, California, posted a graphic video of the incident on Facebook. The video shows how her neighbor, Christopher Samuel, deliberately shooting the dog.

Samuel, 54, originally told police that he shot the dog in self-defense. However, after reviewing the video, police determined that he was not in danger in any way.

According to a family member of Samuel, he and Michael Lemmon, the dog’s owner, had issues before this incident. On the day of the incident, Samuel was allegedly taking photos of guests who arrived at Lemmon’s home.

This led to an argument between the neighbors. While they were arguing, Lemmon’s dog ran into Samuel's yard.

Samuel immediately closed his gate, locking the pitbull inside. He then got his gun and shot the dog while the distraught Lemmon begged him not to hurt the dog.

Alexis Lemmon posted the video on Facebook, where she wrote: “Christopher Samuel slaughtered my dad’s dog right in front of him. He locked him in his yard, shot him, then shot him a second time in the head to make my dad even more angry.

“Please do not let this murderer get away with this just because he his a social worker. This is evil and I am traumatized. The dog wasn't even attacking, it was running away with his tail between his legs.”
