Police in New Mexico, said that homeowner Ruben Rodriguez shot the worker for messing up his property by defecating on it after he hired him to clean the property.

Rodriguez was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and kidnapping.

Police said that they found Hugo Duarte Mendez lying on the side of a road with a bullet wound in his left knee. Mendez told officers that he was working for Rodriguez, when he was shot.

Mendez said that Rodriguez was paying for the work in the garden with methamphetamine.

He also told officers that he asked Rodriguez to use his bathroom while working on his yard, but Rodriguez would not let him inside.

Mendez then defecated in the yard, and when Rodriguez saw him, he allegedly grabbed the gun and shot Mendez.
