Nashville police said that they have arrested 24-year-old Kelsey McMurtry and 19-year-old Summer Taylor, after they left the 14-month-old child in a hot car outside the Deja Vu strip club.

McMurtry has been charged with child neglect and criminal impersonation as she gave police a false name when she was taken into custody.

Taylor was charged with child neglect. They were booked into jail, and McMurtry’s bail was set at $40,000 while Taylor’s bail was set at $10,000.

According to the police investigation, McMurtry asked her friend Taylor, to watch her daughter while she danced naked at the club.

Instead of watching the baby, Taylor left the child in the car to watch her friend dance. Taylor left the windows closed. It was 72 degrees outside, but the temperature in the car rose 106 degrees.

Police found the baby dressed in heavy winter clothes and soaked with sweat. It was determined by police that the baby was in the car for 30 minutes.

The baby was taken to a hospital, and was then handed over to the custody of the Tennessee Department of Children.
