A judge ordered a young woman to testify against her husband.

The husband of Alabama, was a teacher when he and his student began having a sexual relationship.

The judge in Blount County, has ruled that the young woman must testify against her husband, who was charged with a crime because of the relationship.

Judge Dennis E. Odell ruled that Amy Nicole Cox, who was 18 years old when she married 38-year-old Matthew Shane Wester, is not protected by spousal privilege.

The judge said that the special spousal privilege does not apply in a case where one spouse is the victim of the other.

Five months after Wester was arrested on a charge of a school employee having sexual contact with a student, he married her.
