(Scroll down for video) A popular republican congressman threatened to commit suicide if 46-year-old Ted Cruz, who is a senator in Texas, wins the GOP nomination.

Congressman Peter King, 72, who represents the second congressional district in New York, made it clear that he will not endorse Cruz.

He then went on to say that if Cruz wins the GOP nomination this summer, he will swallow cyanide, which is the same poison that Adolf Hitler used to commit suicide.

King slammed Cruz for being a phony.

King publicly states that any person who votes for Cruz, needs to get their head examined. King said that he voted for 54-year-old John Kasich, who is the governor of Ohio, but he did not endorse him.

King endorsed 44-year-old Marco Rubio, who is a senator in Florida, but he dropped out of the race after failing to win his home state.
