McDonald's customer charged with robbery for putting soda in water cup

(Scroll down for video) A teenager was arrested and charged with theft for filling his cup with soda at McDonald's.

The McDonald’s customer of Arkansas, is accused of emptying his cup water and filling it with soda without paying.

18-year-old Cody Morris faces a charge of robbery, police said.

The restaurant manager said the suspect and three people went to the drive-thru window and asked for water at the McDonald's in Springdale.

They then parked their car and went inside, where they spilled the water and filled the cup with soda before leaving without paying for the drink.

The manager spoke with him and two of the suspects. However, Morris walked out, police said.

The manager ran out and tried to block Morris from driving off, but the suspect allegedly placed his vehicle in reverse and struck the manager twice before speeding away.

Police were called and arrested Morris at a nearby bowling alley. He was charged with felony robbery.
