(Scroll down for video) Police were called to a school in Delaware, where they took two girls into custody over the death of their classmate.
School officials in Wilmington, said that there was an altercation between two girls in the bathroom of the school before the tragic incident took place.
According to witnesses, 16-year-old Amy Joyner was in the school bathroom shortly before class was supposed to begin when another teenager came in, and the two began arguing about a boy.
At some point, the argument escalated and other students got involved.
Joyner was knocked unconscious at the Howard High School of Technology, when the group banged her head against a sink. Emergency workers responded to the scene.
Joyner was flown to A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital in critical condition. Her parents made it to the hospital before she was pronounced dead.
Friends said that Joyner was the one who always made peace among classmates.
