(Scroll down for video) Doctors in Poland, worked hard on saving the life of a baby after his mother died.

The baby has been delivered nearly two months after his 41-year-old mother died from a brain tumor in Wroclaw.

When the mother of the baby named Wojtus died, doctors discovered a heartbeat in the baby at 17 weeks of pregnancy.

Doctors worked tirelessly to keep the deceased mother’s vital functions alive long enough for her baby to have a chance to survive. The goal was to reach 30 weeks of pregnancy.

However, at 26 weeks, doctors realized that the mother was too weak to carry the child and they delivered the baby.

The baby was born 55 days after her mother died. He weighed only 2.2 pounds. The baby was in an incubator before he was released from the hospital with his father.

According to nurses, the baby’s father was living at the hospital for five months from the day his wife was admitted until his son was released.

Despite being born premature, Wojtus has been making rapid progress. He was discharged from the hospital when he weighed 6.6 pounds.
