Drunk man crashes car into two vehicles after showing up at taxi company for job interview

(Scroll down for video) A man who was trying to get a job as a taxi driver, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after allegedly arriving drunk to a job interview and smashing two cars, police in Iowa said.

Des Moines police arrested 39-year-old Ryan William Dickson, after being seen driving erratically in the parking lot of the Trans Iowa transportation company before his job interview.

Dickson was charged with operating while intoxicated, and was booked into the Polk County Jail.

An employee of the transportation company told police that she Dickson driving in the parking lot around 9:30 a.m. on Monday.

While trying to park, he smashed into a car. He then reversed, and hit another car.

Dickson told police officers who arrived at the scene, that he had been drinking heavily the night before and checked himself into a hospital.

He was discharged around 8:00 a.m., and he drank vodka. Around 9:00 a.m., he drove to the Trans Iowa transportation company for a job interview.

Dickson failed a field sobriety test, and had a blood alcohol content level of .273.
