When 29-year-old Vita Cresswell was preparing to get married, she chose a date that was very special to her grandmother.

It was the day of her beloved grandmother Martha Wallbank’s 100th birthday. Cresswell is very close to her grandmother, who was a big part of her life while she was growing up.

Cresswell said that when her grandmother heard that the wedding was on the same day as her birthday, she offered to be a bridesmaid.

Although she was in a wheelchair, Wallbank wore the same dress as the other bridesmaids and she had the same flowers as them.

Cresswell said that her grandmother was the life of the party and she made the wedding very special.

Cresswell married her fiance Gary Whineray, 31. The two have been together for eight years.
