Man kills wife's 4-year-old son and feeds body to dogs after being told he was not the father

(Scroll down for video) A man who became extremely angry when his wife told him that her 4-year-old son was not his child, killed the boy and fed his body to his dog, police in Reunion said.

Now, 40-year-old Jean-Charles Artaban has been sentenced to serve life in prison after being convicted of murder, torture and barbarity in connection with the death of 4-year-old Matheo.

Artaban was the first defendant in 13 years to receive a life sentence.

According to the police investigation, Artaban killed Matheo in a fit of rage after his wife Yasmine told him that the child was not his.

Before killing the child at their home on Jean Robert Street in Beaulieu, Saint-Benoit, Artaban got high on drugs.

After Yasmine told him that another man fathered her son, Artaban beat her until she fled from the home. He then killed the boy and fed his body to his dog.

He then set the remaining body parts on fire.
