A young man of New York, lost his life over his silly decision to go subway surfing.

24-year-old James Rubio of Queens, died of head trauma after subway surfing on a train to Brooklyn on Friday morning.

Rubio, who works as an electrician, climbed on top of the F train as it made its way to Coney Island. Sadly, during the trip, the train entered a tunnel and he hit his head, causing him to fall between two cars.

He was found lying between the two subway cars when the train reached a station in Brooklyn.

Rubio, who lived in Astoria with his friend and his friend's mother, Carol Magee, 54, was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His mother and brother are obviously very distraught by the loss.

“I just talked to her and she was like ‘I want my Jimmy back,’” Magee said. “She's really devastated by this. It is a shock for everyone,” she added.
