Company sells alcoholic beverages containing parts of exotic animals

The owner of a company was arrested on a charge of illegal hunting after using parts of dead exotic animals to produce alcoholic beverages, according to police in China.

Now, the owner of the company that produced alcoholic beverages in Guangdong, has been sentenced to serve 11 years in prison after being convicted of illegal hunting in connection with the capture of lizard, crow and gecko.

In addition to the prison sentence, the man, who was identified as Liang, received a fine of $7,700. During the arrest, police seized 24 bottles of alcohol, which contained parts of exotic animals.

The man allegedly sold alcohol over the past 4 years.

In court, Liang denied that the alcohol belonged to him, saying that the bottles belonged to his sister who died several years ago, but the court rejected this argument.
