Tourist crushed to death while feeding hungry workers at factory after pile of marbles fell on top of him

A tourist was crushed to death while visiting a factory after a pile of marble slabs fell on top of him, according to police in the United Arab Emirates said.

Sharjah police said that the man identified as 47-year-old L.H.W. of China, died while feeding hungry workers of the Blue Sky Marble company.

The incident unfolded on Sunday morning, at the headquarters of the company located in the industrial area number 15. Police received a call around 9:45 a.m., about a man who suffered serious trauma to his entire body.

The tourist was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the police investigation, the victim was handing out cookies to workers when the incident occurred.

Some workers were unloading marble slabs from a container, when a pile toppled over and hit the tourist. So far, no charges have been filed.
