(Scroll down for video) A young compassionate boy grew his hair so that he can donate it to children who have cancer.

Sadly, he has now been diagnosed with the disease.

7-year-old Vinny Desautels of Roseville, California, allowed his hair to grow for two years so that he can donate it to cancer patients.

He has reportedly been bullied and mistaken for a girl because of his beautiful long blond hair, but he was proud of his mission.

Desautels grew his blond hair to 13 inches to help someone battling cancer. He said that he was proud when his mother finally cut off the his long hair and donated it.

Sadly, this selfless boy has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer himself.

Shortly after completing his mission and cutting his long hair, Desautels and his family learned that he had stage 4 cancer.

Doctors are still trying to figure out the type of cancer he has after discovering growths around his hip, the bone around the eye and on the right cheek, his father Jason said.

People already donated $372,200 to the family’s GoFundMe page.
