A man was arrested after vandalizing a woman’s car in an act of revenge.
The man is facing several charges after a deputy saw him spray painting the side of a car belonging to a woman.
36-year-old Timothy Lee Trammell was arrested on charges of vandalism of property and possession of marijuana by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said that a deputy was driving by a business called Kelly One Stop on Jonesville Road after 7:00 p.m. on Friday, when he spotted Trammell in action.
An incident report states that the deputy saw Trammell crouching beside the car that had the word “cheeter” instead of “cheater” painted across the passenger side.
The deputy said that he saw Trammell holding a can of spray paint before he tried to flee. Trammell was arrested.
Trammell allegedly told the officer that he wanted to take revenge on his former girlfriend who cheated on him.
The woman works at that Kelly One Stop store. The officer then spoke to the woman, who told him that she wanted to press charges over the damage to her car.
When Union County deputies searched Trammell, they said that found a marijuana cigarette on him.
