Woman calls police to report armed robbery to avoid paying $20 restaurant bill

(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested on a charge of theft after allegedly refusing to pay a restaurant bill and falsely reporting an armed robbery, according to police in Ohio.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said that they have arrested 21-year-old Destiny Janee Watson, after being accused of calling police to report on armed robbery in order to avoid paying a bill at Gold Star Chili restaurant.

Watson was charged with disrupting public service, making false alarms and theft. She was booked into jail, and her bail was set at $30,000.

According to the police, 14 officers rushed to the Gold Star Chili restaurant after Watson called 911 to report a burglar with a gun was inside the business around 10:30 p.m.

When police arrived, they quickly determined that there had been no robbery. Only Watson was in the shop. She had been in the restaurant since around 7:30 p.m., and had ordered and consumed $20.30 in food.

She told workers that someone was coming to pay her bill.

Police searched her bag and found her cellphone. Police saw that 911 call was made with the phone.
