A homeowner was arrested on a charge of murder after beating up a man because he defecated in his garden, according to police in the United Kingdom.
Now, 41-year-old Audrius Zauka of Boston, has been sentenced to serve life in prison after being convicted of murder in connection with the beating death of 53-year-old Sigitas Kirkickas.
The Lincoln Crown Court was told that Kirkickas suffered more than 80 wounds, including more than 30 broken bones. His injuries was similar to a victim of a car crash.
The attack occurred after Kirkickas dropped his pants and defecated in the garden near the back door of Zauka’s home.
When Zauka opened the door, he saw Kirkickas pulling up his pants. Kirkickas was kicked, stomped and beaten to death.
Kirkickas suffered significant head injuries and a traumatic brain injury. He also received multiple injuries on his body, including bruises and abrasions as well as 28 rib fractures.
He also received lacerations of the liver and kidneys, and bruising of the lungs. Kirkickas left behind a mother, daughter and sister.
