The man was accused of killing the family dog by putting it in a grill after he became angry with his daughter over the T-shirt she was wearing.

Thompson said that he became angry after seeing his 17-year-old daughter wearing a T-shirt that he thought was inappropriate.
He reportedly first burned the girl’s T-shirt in the industrial-size smoker because didn’t like the shirt and he believed it had to do with the devil.
He then grabbed the family’s six-year-old white 15 pound poodle and broke its neck. While his wife and children begged him to stop, Thompson placed the dog on the grill, where he burned the animal.
The wife and kids called police. Officers found the dog’s charred remains inside the grill. Thompson, who was allegedly high on drugs, also had a self-inflicted wound in the arm, according to police reports.
