(Scroll down for video) A politician in Louisiana, introduced a new law that would set age and weight limits for strippers.

The new limits were introduced as the House was debating a new law that would raise the minimum age of strippers to 21 years old.

Republican State Rep. Kenneth Havard proposed an amendment to the bill that would make it illegal to be a stripper over the age of 28.

All legal strippers would not be able to perform unless they weigh less than 160 pounds. After some discussion on the amendment, Havard pulled it from the House.

The House later unanimously approved the bill to raise the minimum age for strippers to 21. When asked about the age and weight limits, Havard said that his amendment was meant as a joke.

"Strippers should be between twenty one and twenty eight years of age, and shall be no more than one hundred sixty pounds in weight,” the amendment read.
