Police were called after a mother and her son were seen fighting in the street.
The mother of Milton, Virginia, was arrested on Friday, after police said they saw her punching her 15-year-old son several times during an argument.
Milton police said that they responded to a domestic disturbance call after 6:30 p.m. on Friday, in the 100 block of Mason Street.
When they arrived, officers witnessed 48-year-old Loretta Lynn Armstrong punching her teenage son. Both the mother and son told police that the argument began over a burrito.
When officers tried to handcuff Armstrong, she pulled away and screamed obscenities before lying down on the ground to stop police from handcuffing her.
Armstrong was finally arrested and charged with felony child abuse, obstruction, intimidating a public officer and disorderly conduct.
She was taken to jail, and bail was set at $31,000.
