An elderly woman in Switzerland, was left with a broken heart after a court banned her from marrying a 21-year-old man with whom she fell in love.

The 71-year-old great-grandmother, who was not identified, said that she first met the man of Tunisia, on Facebook.

He was 18 years old at the time. The woman told the court that they both like rap music and taking walks. They also share the same ideas.

However, the marriage registry rejected their request, saying that the young man is committing emotional fraud in order to gain entry into the country.

The woman told the court that she quickly fell in love with her younger boyfriend, and visited him in Tunisia. They shared a room together in his parents’ home, where the family sells goats and sheep.

The young man told the court that age does not matter to him and his is not looking to have children.

However, the court ruled that the man's feelings for his fiancee were not authentic and the woman was banned from marrying her lover.
