Married woman who faked pregnancy for seven months kills dog and smears blood on herself to fake miscarriage
(Scroll down for video) A married woman was arrested on a charge of animal cruelty after allegedly killing a dog in order to use its blood to fake a miscarriage, according to police in Alabama.
Lawrence County police said that they have arrested 43-year-old Anita Parker, after being accused of faking a pregnancy for seven months and killing her dog.
Parker was charged with one count of animal cruelty. She was booked into the Lawrence County Jail, and her bail was set at $7,000.
According to the police, Parker called 911 on Thursday night, to report that she was having a pregnancy-related emergency.
When paramedics arrived at the house that saw Parker covered in blood. She was taken to a hospital for what was believed to be a miscarriage.
After being checked, the doctor told her family members that she was never pregnant. When Parker's husband, Johnny Parker, returned home, he found their family dog dead in the trash.
According to the police investigation, the woman killed the dog to use the blood and tissue to stage the false miscarriage. The wife told her husband that she was going to give birth to a baby boy.
