The teenager of North Carolina, was killed after jumping in front of a vehicle, police in Asheville said.

The incident began about 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, when 19-year-old Avery Stephen Moses was stalking his 18-year-old former girlfriend Skylar Baldwin.

Moses followed her car after she left work. Moses is accused of intentionally hitting Baldwin’s car, and when she exited, he tried to kidnap her by forcing her into his vehicle.

When witnesses realized what was happening, they came to her aid. They then prevented Moses from escaping.

Moses looked anxious and according to witnesses, threw himself in the path of an oncoming vehicle on I-26.

Moses was hit by several vehicles and died at the scene.

Baldwin wrote about the experience on Facebook. In one post, she said: “My life has been forever changed. What I saw will haunt me for the rest of my life.”

In another post she wrote: “The love and bond between two people is a beautiful and overwhelming thing whether it is understood by others or not.

“With that being said, Avery showed me the most beautiful parts of life. He showed me that even in the darkest minds, love does exist.

“Avery and I struggled together against his demons for so many years, but I am so grateful my baby is finally able to relax in God’s arms.”

In yet another post she said: “When we weren't together, you were still my best friend, and when we fought and couldn't be friends, I still loved you with all my heart. I just wish you were here to make it okay again, Love. Skylar.”
