Jacksonville police said that they have arrested 44-year-old James Kirkland and 43-year-old Angela Carroll, after their two children went to a neighbor's house and asked for food.

They were each charged with one count of child neglect.

According to the police investigation, on Tuesday, Kirkland and Carroll started fighting and throwing objects in front of their two children.

The children went to a nearby house, and the homeowner called police.

The neighbor told police that the children had not been to school in over a month, and the children beg for food because they were hungry.

Police inspect the couple’s house, and found that there was no fridge, stove, water or food. Police found more than 500 pornographic magazines at the home.

The kids’ room was covered with clothes, papers, trash and cockroaches.
