(Scroll down for video) A coal company executive was shot and killed in a cemetery while visiting the grave of a loved one, according to police in West Virginia.
The Mingo County Sheriff’s Office said that Ben Hatfield, was found around 6:30 a.m. on Monday, at the Mountain View Memorial Garden Cemetery.
According to the police investigation, Hatfield was visiting the grave of a family member when he was shot and killed.
Evidence at the scene ruled out suicide. Police are looking for the shooter, but so far, he remains at large. The victim was reported missing by his girlfriend on Sunday afternoon, after he did not return home.
Police found Hatfield’s body by tracing his cellphone signal. His car was found parked nearby. Hatfield was the CEO of the International Coal Group.
