A teenager placed his glassed on the floor of an art gallery to see how people will react.

The prankster in California, deceived dozens of art lovers into believing that his glasses were a work of modern art at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

17-year-old TJ Khayatan was visiting the gallery with friends when he saw some very simple items displayed as art. He described one item on display as a “stuffed animal on a gray blanket.”

He and his friends wondered if people are truly interested in this kind of art. Khayatan decided to put art lovers to the test.

He wanted to find out whether the works of art at the museum were actually misunderstood masterpieces or if anything on display in the gallery could be hailed as modern art.

Khayatan and his friends placed a pair of glasses on the floor inside the museum and stepped back to see how visitors would respond to it.

Immediately, the new exhibition was surrounded by art lovers interested in getting a glimpse of the “work of art,” and some even took photos of the glasses.

Khayatan later posted the photos of his experience to Twitter, where it went viral.
