|The suicidal man being poked|
(Scroll down for video) Good samaritans are facing charges for trying to rescue a suicidal man and causing him to fall.
The suicidal man climbed on top of a traffic light in Hunan, China, on Tuesday morning.
When police arrived, they managed to talk the man into coming down and they took him away. However, it didn't take long for the man to climb on top of the 32 foot tall traffic light.
After being up there for about four hours, a group of good Samaritans decided to intervene.
As a rescue team were blowing up an inflatable cushion under the traffic light, the good Samaritans poked the suicidal man with a 9 foot pipe.
Three police officers watched as the onlookers poked the man to get him down.
However, their attempt to save the suicidal man backfired when the man suddenly jumped, but missed the inflatable cushion. He hit the pavement instead.
The man was then taken to a hospital, where he is said to be in critical condition. Police said that they are investigating the actions of the good Samaritan and they are likely to face charges.
