Police in Iowa, are looking to arrest a 44-year-old man on a charge of assault after allegedly using frozen hot dogs to split open the head of his father’s girlfriend.

Des Moines police said that the 50-year-old woman suffered a large gash on the back of her head after telling her boyfriend's son to move out of her home.

She was taken to the Mercy Medical Center, where doctors used staples to close the woman’s wounds.

According to the police investigation, the woman, who was not identified, was tired of her son not contributing any money towards the expenses of their home in the 1400 block of 17th Street.

Around 2:00 p.m., she told him to pack up and leave. The man, who was not identified, laughed as he gathered his stuff and loaded them into his friend’s car.

The woman then checked the freezer to see if he left anything behind. She found a package of frozen hot dogs. She took the hot dogs, went outside and threw them towards her boyfriend’s son.

When she turned to walk back inside the house, the man threw the hot dogs and they landed in the back of her head. The woman lost consciousness and fell down from the blow.
