(Scroll down for video) A rugby player was arrested in California, for paying to have sex with a 6-year-old boy.

33-year-old Michael John Quinn of Melbourne, was looking forward for his trip to the United States, with some of his teammates.

They began the trip in Los Angeles, and they were supposed to travel to Nashville, Tennessee, for the Bingham Cup, a global rugby tournament.

However, Quinn did not make it to Nashville. He was locked up in Los Angeles.

Authorities said that before he left Melbourne, Quinn began looking for other child pedophiles in Los Angeles, so he can have sex with children.

An undercover agent chatted with Quinn, who allegedly said that he is “looking to have sex with children and while he liked both boys and girls, his favorite were boys aged 5 to 10 years old.”

Authorities set up a sting operation to catch the self proclaimed pedophile.

Two days after Quinn landed in California, he took an Uber taxi to a hotel for a prearranged meeting “with like minded people.”

The hotel room was child friendly as the Cartoon Network was playing on the television and Toy Story-themed cupcakes were available to eat.

The “child sex trafficker,” who was an undercover agent, soon arrived and took payment in exchange for sex with children.
Quinn was arrested after attempting to pay $250 to have sex with a 6-year-old boy.

Quinn, who is also a genetic scientist at a Melbourne IVF clinic, was charged with attempted sex trafficking of a minor, and one count of traveling to the U.S. for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor. He faces up to life in prison if convicted of the charges.

His teammates were said to be shocked over the arrest as they had no idea of his dark secret.
