(Scroll down for video) A tourist lost her life in a tragic accident while riding a zip line.

The woman of South Carolina, was visiting family in Sundance, Utah, when she was tragically killed.

55-year-old Lisa Lambe was participating in a Zip Tour excursion at Sundance Mountain Resort on Friday about 5:30 p.m., when she was stuck by a tree.

The Utah County Sheriff's Office said that the woman went between 30 to 60 miles per hour when she hit a tree that fell into the path of the zip line.

Authorities are not sure if the tree was leaning on the line as she hit it or if it fell into her path as she came down.

The woman was found suspended from the harness, and she was brought to the ground to be treated. Lambe was unconscious and not breathing when she was found.

She was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The medical examiner said that Lambe probably died within a few minutes of hitting the tree or possibly even on impact.

Authorities ruled the incident an accident and no charges have been filed against the Sundance Mountain Resort.
