(Scroll down for video) Police in Texas, were called after a man was seen hanging onto a car while a woman was driving it.
When officers arrived, they realized that the man was run over and killed by his girlfriend, Houston police said.
According to police, 33-year-old Jerry Wayne Bonner had an argument with his girlfriend after 10:05 p.m., while she was driving.
The woman stopped the car in the parking lot of the Crestmont Washateria laundromat at 5310 Selinsky near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Police said that Bonner got out and started yelling at the woman. He then went back inside with the door open and started hitting her.
Witnesses told police that the woman tried to get away, but Bonner grabbed her, causing her to lose control of the vehicle.
He then got onto the side of the car to keep her from driving away. The woman then began driving on the wrong side of the road and she hit a median, causing Bonner to fall from the vehicle.
As the woman drove away, she accidentally ran over Bonner. He died at the scene. Police said that the couple had been in a relationship for over six years.
Police have not said whether charges will be filed against the woman as they are still investigating the incident.
