Three women stop a rape after catching man placing date rape drug in his date’s drink

(Scroll down for video) Three women are being called heroes after stepping in when they witnessed a man placing a date rape drug into a woman’s drink.

24-year-old Michael Hsu was arrested after a group of three friends said they noticed him spike the drink of his date at a restaurant in Santa Monica, California.

Hsu was arrested at the restaurant, and booked on charges of drugging with intent to commit a felony. A judge set his bail at $1 million.

Sonia Ulrich, Marla Saltzer, and Monica Kenyon, were out for dinner at FIG restaurant, where the incident occurred.

The women said that they were sitting at a table opposite from Hsu. When his female companion got up to use the restroom, they saw him he put something into her wine.

The women acted quickly. First, they went to the restroom to tell the victim not to drink the wine.

According to the ladies, when the victim learned of the incident, she was shocked and said that Hsu was her best friend.

The woman then went to the restaurant manager to report what they witnessed. Staff members reviewed surveillance videos and called police.

Meanwhile, the victim got back to her table at sat there with Hsu for about 40 minutes, waiting for police to arrive. She did not touch the drink.

Police confiscated the drink to determine what Hsu put inside. They also confiscated the surveillance video of the restaurant.
