Three of the sisters were killed at the scene of the tragic accident on Interstate 95.

The two other sisters were rushed to a hospital, where one died of her injuries and the other was treated and released.

The girls' mother, 34-year-old Latorya Brown, who was driving the SUV, was treated and released from the hospital.

According to police, Brown was driving a 2006 Dodge Durango, when her tire burst, causing the overloaded vehicle to crash. It then flipped over multiple times.

Police found that eleven family members had been traveling in the eight-seater SUV in Brevard County, at about 6:30 p.m.

The family went to the beach to celebrate Brown’s birthday. She was with her boyfriend, her five daughters, the boyfriend’s three nephews and a cousin.

The deceased sisters were identified as Amunya Cruz, 15, Jasmine Cruz, 14, Niashia Cruz, 13 and Nadia Cruz, 10. Their only surviving sibling was identified as 9-year-old Shakara Cruz.

First responders who heard a child crying in the distance, found a 3-year-old boy on the other side of the highway's sound barrier.

The boy survived, but suffered broken bones. Police are still investigating the details of the tragic accident.
