(Scroll down for video) A basketball coach and teacher’s assistant was arrested on a charge of distribution of marijuana after allegedly selling drugs to a teenage boy at school, according to police in Virginia.
The Arlington County Police Department said that they have arrested 32-year-old Zachary Van Dyke, after being accused of inviting the 13-year-old boy to his home, where they both smoked marijuana.
Van Dyke has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and distribution of marijuana. He was booked into the Arlington County Detention Facility.
According to the police investigation, Van Dyke was a teaching assistant at the Gunston Middle School. He also coached basketball at Washington-Lee High School.
After learning about the allegations, Van Dyke was suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. The 13-year-old boy was Van Dyke’s student.
