A boy was arrested on a charge of drunk driving after allegedly driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol while his father was sitting in the passenger seat, according to police in Pennsylvania.
Wilkes-Barre police said that they have arrested the 14-year-old boy, who was not identified, after he was pulled over by police for driving erratically on Wednesday night.
He was charged with one count of driving under the influence.
He was released from custody to a family member. The boy’s father, 34-year-old Ramon Calva-Marin, was charged with child endangerment and corruption of minors.
According to the police, an officer observed a vehicle driving erratically on Wednesday night. When the vehicle was pulled over, the officer found a young boy behind the wheel and his father in the passenger seat.
The boy’s blood-alcohol content was .106 percent while the father’s blood-alcohol level was 0.26 percent. The father was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $10,000.
