A man was arrested on a charge of murder after luring a teacher to a hotel, where he killed her and had sex with her dead body, according to police in the United Kingdom.

Now, 26-year-old Carl Langdell of London, has been sentenced to serve up to life in prison after pleading guilty to murder in connection with the death of 23-year-old Katie Locke.

According to the police investigation, after chatting on the dating site Plenty of Fish, for about two weeks, Locke agreed to meet Langdell, for their first date of dinner and drinks.

Langdell had told Locke that he was a lawyer and had his own firm, which were lies. For two years, he had suffered from mental illness and had spent time in psychiatric hospitals.

At the end of this first date, Locke agreed to go to a hotel with him. At the hotel, Langdell strangled her and had sex with her dead body before disposing of her body in the hotel grounds.

After realizing that Katie had not returned home, her family and friends made a concerted effort to identify Langdell. Through Internet searches, they identified him and contacted him through Facebook.

Langdell replied, saying that Locke, had left in a taxi and he did not know where she was. Eventually, Langdell admitted to his mother that he had killed Locke.
