A young girl was hospitalized after a pair of scissors landed in her head.

The incident occurred when the father of the 10-year-old girl in Shanghai, China, became angry because his daughter did not do her homework.

The man told police that his daughter was playing with her brother instead of doing her homework on Friday night.

He wanted to scare the girl so he started waving around a pair of scissors. The father claimed that he had been washing chickens and his hands were slippery when the scissors slipped and landed in his daughter’s skull.

The 10-year-old girl was rushed to a hospital, where doctors performed surgery to remove the 5.9 inch pair of scissors from her skull.

The girl is currently in stable condition, although she cannot remember the incident.

The girl’s mother said that their family moved from Anhui to Shanghai, for work and to give their children a better education.

The mother also said that her husband was just trying to scare their daughter and he did not intend to hurt her.
