A man killed his wife because he was angry that she missed her flight to Italy, following a business trip in Spain, according to police.

Huelva police said that they have arrested 34-year-old Toader Ciprian Enache, after being accused of using a rope to strangle his wife, 32-year-old Jana Enache.

Toader was charged with one count of murder.

According to the police investigation, the couple, who was married for 15 years, worked as circus performers and the two have recently come to the country for business.

On Tuesday evening, Jana went to the Seville Airport, where she was supposed to fly to Italy, to perform at a circus. Jana missed her flight, and her husband became very angry.

The husband found an abandoned car in the parking lot of the airport, where he used a rope to choke his wife to death. He then placed her dead body in the car and covered it with a blanket.

The following day, Toader handed himself in to police.
