Two women giving interview on TV are arrested after store owner recognized them as burglars

(Scroll down for video) Two women got their 15 seconds of fame when they were interviewed on television over a shooting that involved a police officer.

The women of Alabama, said that they were shocked by the violence because the area has a low crime rate.

Gail Lynn Harbin, 51, said that she grew up around crime in Chicago, Illinois, but in Lincoln, where she now lives, violent crime are rare.

Soon after her interview, she and her friend Sherry Grace Robinson, 40, were arrested because a store owner recognized them from surveillance video of a burglary.

In that case, the women stole a pool table lamp and barstools from the Valley Antiques in Alexandria. The case was unsolved until now.

Police went to the home of the women and found the stolen property. Police also found 12 pot plants on the porch, which were added to their charges.
