(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on a charge of robbery after robbing a bank and posting a video of the crime an Instagram, according to police in Virginia.
Now, 23-year-old Dominyk Antonio Alfonseca of Virginia Beach, has been sentenced to serve 35 months in prison after being convicted of robbery.
According to the police investigation, Alfonseca walked into the Townebank located at 297 Constitution Drive, and handed the teller a note demanding money.
About 20 minutes after the robbery, Alfonseca was located and arrested.
Before he was caught, Alfonseca uploaded two videos of the bank robbery and an image of the note that he gave to the teller on his Instagram account.
Alfonseca denied robbing the bank, saying he just asked for money and the teller gave him.
Alfonseca said that the teller could have said “no,” and he would have left.
He added that he uploaded to video of the crime to show everyone that he only asked for money and did not rob the bank.
