A woman was arrested on a charge of child abuse after allegedly pouring vodka into the eyes of a young boy who splashed water while swimming in a pool, according to police in Florida.

The Clearwater Police Department said that they have arrested 33-year-old Roseanna Marie Kiser of a North Carolina, after being accused of assaulting the 7-year-old boy at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort.

Kiser was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and child abuse. She was booked into jail, and her bail was set at $12,750.

According to the police investigation, on Monday night, Kiser became intoxicated and was drinking from a bottle of vodka while several small children were swimming and playing in the swimming pool.

Kiser became angry with the seven-year-old boy because he was splashing water near her. She took the bottle of vodka and poured its content directly into the eyes and face of the child.

Kiser then grabbed the boy's chest and pushed him. When police officers arrived at the scene, Kiser was already back in her hotel room.

After being told several times that she was being expelled from the premises by the hotel management, Kiser fought with the police, elbowing officers and kicking them in the private parts.
