A man set fire to his apartment because he was fed up of hearing his neighbors having sex.

The sex noises made him so mad that he set several fires in his apartment, burning some of his own belongings.

Police in New Mexico, arrested 36-year-old Reuben Cook, after he admitted to deliberately setting fire to things in his apartment.

The incident began on Sunday at about 10:00 p.m., when Cook’s neighbors were getting intimate and they became too loud for his liking.

The sex noises bothered him so much that he decided that a quiet jail cell would be better than being in his noisy apartment.

“He stated that he heard people having sex upstairs and making a lot of noise. Mr. Cook stated that by starting the fires he could go to prison and get away from the noise,” police wrote in their report.

Officers in Albuquerque, found a lighter in Cook’s pocket, which he allegedly used to start the fire. Cook was booked into jail. He was later released on his own recognizance.
