(Scroll down for video) A woman in the United Kingdom, checked herself into a hospital after her husband found a live spider crawling in her ear.
42-year-old Victoria Price of Porthcawl, suffered extreme pain for more than a day, following a swimming session at sea.
When the pain did not go away, she asked her husband Huw, to look into her ear, and he saw a large spider crawling inside. She checked herself into the Princess of Wales Hospital, where doctors removed the spider from her ear.
Emergency nurse practitioner Sarah Gaze said that the spider was easy to remove with tweezers. The spider was visible in Price’s inner ear.
Price said that the spider crawled into her ear while she was taking a shower following a swimming session in the sea. When the spider felt the water, it crawled into the ear as it is dry and warm.
Fortunately, an examination showed that the spider had not caused any problems. There was no damage and the spider did not lay any eggs, doctors said.
Price works at the South Wales Police as an IT trainer, and she is a member of the Newton Lifeguard Club.
