(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on a charge of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a pedestrian whose umbrella brushed up against his arm, according to police in Japan.
Tokyo police said that they have arrested 28-year-old Noriyuki Watanabe, after being accused of flying into a rage when the victim’s umbrella touched his arm.
Watanabe was charged with one count of attempted murder.
According to the police investigation, around 6:00 a.m. on Monday, Watanabe left a lounge, where an employee was walking with an umbrella.
After the umbrella touched Watanabe’s arm, he ran home and grabbed a knife. He then stabbed the employee several times in the chest.
The victim suffered serious wounds in the chest, and was rushed to a hospital. Watanabe denied the allegations, however, security cameras recorded the attack.
