Man suffers panic attack and abandons car inside Lincoln Tunnel while stuck in traffic jam

A man caused the shutdown of the busy Lincoln Tunnel in New York, after suffering a panic attack, abandoning his vehicle and walking out on the New Jersey side.

Drivers headed into or out of New York City, faced delays of at least one hour, after a tractor-trailer overturned near the Lincoln Tunnel in New Jersey on Wednesday about 6:00 a.m.

The traffic to New Jersey, was diverted for hours after the tractor-trailer overturned on Route 495. After four hours, the lanes reopened.

However, due to the traffic jam, a man had a panic attack in the tunnel. He abandoned his vehicle and walked out of the tunnel in New Jersey.

The New Jersey bound lanes were again shut down as police were investigating the incident. After 5 hours, all lanes were reopened.
